Reiki

Reiki is a holistic healing technique that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. The word “Reiki” is a combination of two Japanese words: “Rei,” meaning universal or divine, and “ki,” meaning life energy or vital force.
Together, Reiki can be translated as “universal life energy.”
At its core, Reiki is based on a universal life force energy that flows through all living things. This energy nourish and support life, and when it is disrupted or blocked, it can lead to physical, emotional, or spiritual imbalances and illness.

During a Reiki session, I am a conduit for the Reiki energy, which is channeled through my hands and directed to you. You will remains fully clothed and typically lied down or sited comfortably while I place my hands above or near of various parts of the body.

Reiki energy is intelligent and flows where it is needed most in your body, mind, and spirit. 

Clients often report sensations such as warmth, tingling, or relaxation during a session. Reiki is a gentle and non-invasive therapy, making it suitable for people of all ages and conditions.

In addition to promoting physical healing, Reiki is also believed to support emotional and spiritual well-being. It can help to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, promote relaxation and inner peace, and enhance spiritual growth and self-awareness.

What happens?

Introduction and Discussion: At the beginning of the session, I’ll have a brief conversation with you to discuss any specific concerns, goals, or areas of focus for the session. This conversation helps me tailor the session to your needs.

Energy Assessment: I will begin the session by gently placing their hands on or above the your body to assess the flow of energy and identify any areas of imbalance or blockage. This assessment helps guide the placement of hands during the session.

Hand Placements: I will begins the hands-on healing process by placing my hands just above various parts of the your body. These hand placements correspond to specific energy centers (chakras) or areas of the body where energy blockages may be present.

Channeling Reiki Energy: As I place my hands near your body, I channel Reiki energy through my hands and into yours. The energy flows where it is needed most, helping to remove blockages, restore balance, and promote healing on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels.

Sensations and Experiences: During the session, you may experience various sensations, such as warmth, tingling, or relaxation. These sensations are often indicative of the energy flowing and balancing within the body.

Closing the Session: At the end of the session, I gently remove my hands and will offer some final words of guidance or channelled messages.

After a Reiki therapy session, you may experience various effects, both immediate and over time.

Relaxation: Many people report feeling deeply relaxed and calm after a Reiki session. The gentle energy work can help to release tension and stress from the body and mind, promoting a sense of well-being and tranquility.

Increased Energy: While Reiki promotes relaxation, it can also leave you feeling more energized and revitalized. This renewed energy may be subtle and may not necessarily result in a sudden burst of activity but can contribute to an overall sense of vitality.

Emotional Release: Reiki can sometimes bring emotions to the surface as it works to balance the body’s energy. You may experience feelings of peace and contentment, but may also release pent-up emotions such as sadness, anger, or fear. This emotional release can be cathartic and may lead to greater emotional clarity and resilience.

Improved Sleep: You might find that Reiki helps sleep better and more deeply. The relaxation and stress reduction induced by Reiki can promote restful sleep and may alleviate insomnia or other sleep disturbances.

Healing Reactions: In some cases,you may experience temporary discomfort or symptoms following a Reiki session. This is sometimes referred to as a “healing crisis” and is the body’s way of releasing toxins and rebalancing itself. These reactions are usually short-lived and are often followed by a significant improvement in well-being.

Long-Term Benefits: The effects of Reiki therapy can be cumulative and may continue to unfold over time. Regular Reiki sessions can support overall health and well-being, promote self-awareness and personal growth, and help maintain balance in your life.

It’s important to note that experiences with Reiki can vary widely, and not everyone will have the same effects. Additionally, Reiki is not a substitute for medical treatment, and if needed should always consult with qualified healthcare professionals for any health concerns.

Can be done at distance?

Yes, Reiki can be performed at a distance, a practice often referred to as “distance healing” or “remote Reiki.” In distance Reiki sessions, I channel Reiki energy to yourself who might be located far away, even in another part of the world.

I typically use visualization techniques, symbols, and intention to connect with yourself energetically and transmit the healing energy. You will be experiencing similar sensations and benefits to those felt during in-person Reiki sessions, such as relaxation, stress reduction, and a sense of well-being.

Distance Reiki can be especially useful when in-person sessions are not possible due to geographical distance, illness, or other constraints.
